Wedding Wednesday is here once again! I’m keeping the ball rolling into the second week of the new year. I hope 2018 is off to a great start for everyone! I am excited to share Jennifer and Connor’s Mathews Manor wedding with you today. At this time in my personal life, I was in the middle of a very hectic chaos. I started the day on maybe the worst note ever, but once I arrived to start shooting, Jennifer greeted me with a huge hug and smile and I was honestly so grateful to be with her. Even on her own wedding day, she was so selfless and was worried about me that it pulled me out of my funk and let me do my job the best I could. I’m so thankful for you, Jenn!
Jennifer and Connor have one of the sweetest relationships, and I know I probably say that a lot, but you’ll see the sincerity of their love as you see these photos. They were together for over nine years before this special day and have shared many life moments together. They went to college and pharmacy school together and are now both pharmacists. Even though they didn’t grow up in the south, they’ve made Birmingham their home, and (insert cheese) the city is a little brighter with them here!
All of Jennifer’s details are so feminine and I LOVE that. I love when my photos can embrace the femininity of strong women and still appear effortless. Jennifer planned everything as a new pharmacist working busy hours, with most of her friends and family living out of town, and did an amazing job! The folks at Mathews Manor were very helpful and made everything come together. Jennifer’s Sottero and Midgley dress was to die for and the perfect dress for her, and her bouquet is what floral dreams are made of. I loved the classic settings she had for the reception, and she had a s’mores bar, which was pretty tasty.
My favorite moments of the day started when I first arrived when Jennifer greeted me with the hug that I mentioned before! We quickly got to know her bridesmaids and felt like a part of the group. Even though they came from all over the country, these girls acted like they hadn’t been apart at all and seriously knew how to have fun! As the day progressed, anytime Jennifer and Connor were together, it felt like a movie. So many happy tears, hugs and kisses, and love shared, it was really wonderful and hopeful to see. Then their band at the reception, Accent from Music Garden, threw it down and had everyone on the dance floor!
Jennifer and Connor, thank you so much for having me as a part of your day. I loved every minute of it and hope you love your photos as much as I do! Happy New Year!
This pairing is one of my favorite diptychs ever! ^ Plus that Mrs. Box is all the heart eyes.
Such a beautiful happy bride!
This first look is so so sweet.
I’m a sucker for soft focus sometimes.
These girls were SO much fun!
That golden sunlight warms my heart.
Walking down the aisle and all the emotions these two share are still giving me all the feels.
Mathews Manor’s new reception space is beyond beautiful!
