Happy Wedding Wednesday, friends! Spring wedding season is officially here and it’s got me super busy, as I expected! I cannot wait to share all of the pretty that has come and that is coming in the next many weeks. I actually have two double weekends coming up (four weddings in eight days, miiight die), but because of that I decided not to book any additional appointments next week. I’m hoping to have a blog marathon next week because of that, so hold me to it! For today, I am excited to share this stunning Historic Rucker Place wedding with Liz and Andrew. These two could not be a sweeter and more beautiful couple.
Liz reached out to me roughly a month before her wedding desperately searching for a photographer, with the date coming up so soon! Luckily I was open and we were able to meet and square everything away. When we first met, she had planned on a wedding at her home church, but after tons of complications and not being able to have her vision fully filled, she found what was actually her perfect venue- Historic Rucker Place. I was super pumped about that, because it happens to be one of my favorite spots in town as well! Being the superwoman she is, she was able to pull everything together last minute and have a stunning wedding that looked like she had been planning for months. So glad I got to meet this great gal and that we are still friends today!
You all know how much of a sucker I am for great florals, and those were easily hands down some of my favorite wedding details. Laure at LSL Event Design knows her stuff and created some of my favorite work I’ve seen her do yet. Liz’s stunning Allure gown was another favorite detail. It was the perfect gown for her. I also really loved the gold wedding bands (I don’t see a whole lot of yellow gold anymore and it was refreshing!), Liz’s Badgley Mischka shoes, and the beautiful food display by another favorite, Savoie Catering. Top all of the pretty off with lovely music from Act of Congress, and we had an A++ wedding!
My favorite moments of the day include the beautiful ceremony in the garden. Liz and Andrew are so enamored with each other and seeing them together for the first time today took everyone’s breath away. They chose not to have a first look and Andrew’s face when he saw his bride for the first time was priceless. Since they had an earlier ceremony and shorter reception, we scheduled their romance shots for after the reception. It’s a great option for all brides with a wedding earlier in the day! All the guests were gone and we had the whole place to ourselves. We also got to see Rucker Place’s newest room, the Tuscany Room, which had previously been used as office space. You guys, it was SO gorgeous! We got to really time our time with romance shots and Liz and Andrew were able to relax a little before driving down to the beach for their honeymoon. Romance is usually always my favorite part of the day, but collaborating with Laure and this lovely couple, we were able to get some of my favorite romance shots of 2017.
Check out the photos below!
Aren’t those rings gorgeous!?
Beautiful hair and makeup from my dear friends at Rawwbeauty!
LOVE that floral design!
One happy and excited groom!
The wind just slightly pulled Liz’s veil out and it stayed just like that. Perfection!
Yep. That guy went so hard for that garter that he ripped his pants. hahaha
Annnnd, let the romance begin!
Sometimes I let my dark and moody side out for a minute, and it usually does not disappoint.
Liz and Andrew, thank you SO much for having me as a part of your day. I loved working with you guys and can’t wait to see you again soon!
