Third Annual Wedding Giveaway

This week, wedding Wednesday is bringing something a little fun and extra… and not featuring a past wedding, but offering an AMAZING deal for upcoming weddings!

Brides and grooms, welcome to our THIRD annual wedding giveaway!!!

EDIT: Winners have been chosen and are listed below!

Best of 2016 : Weddings : j.woodbery photography

Every time I start to count the years (for anything) I realize how quickly time flies, but guys, it’s so true. I’m so thankful to have had this website for that long (when it was such a long time coming to begin with!) and to be able to bless some sweet couples with wedding photo goodies for another year.

This year, I’ve decided to keep things very simple. Instead of having a large grand prize with multiple vendors, I’ll only be giving away prizes from myself. I’m thankful for my past vendors and all of their help, but now we’ll have a little more range with dates available and will also be able to travel!

Which leads me right into this year’s prizes! TWO couples will win their wedding coverage at half price with me! This includes eight hours of wedding day coverage with two photographers and all of your edited images on a USB with print release. Regularly priced at $3500, this will be only $1750 for two lucky couples. Now, because I would love to travel a little more, one winner will be a wedding in Alabama and the other can be absolutely anywhere else! If I don’t receive many entries for out of town weddings, I’ll choose two for Alabama, but would love to expand the reach a little more for this giveaway.

Because I’m often feeling very giving when I do this giveaway, don’t be surprised if I give out some engagement sessions or other goodies as well!

Alright ladies and gents, here’s how to win.

First, be sure you’re following along on all of our social media. Here are the links to follow.

Second, I would love for you to share this giveaway with your engaged friends that you think might be interested. I’m not going to make you post any particular thing in order to qualify for this, but it sure would mean a lot to me if you shared! The more love the better.

Third, for your main and official entry to win, leave a comment on THIS blog post. Here’s what I need you to include in your comment.
1. Your full name, wedding date, wedding venue, and city you’re getting married in
2. A link to your Pinterest wedding board if you have one
3. A description of your wedding vision. This can be details, colors, your favorite things, etc. It doesn’t have to be long but try to be as descriptive as possible!
4. Any other vendors you have already hired
5. Why you are drawn to my work, why you would want to have me as your wedding photographer, and what this giveaway means to you

Please be sure to answer all of the questions above in order to be qualified. If you don’t have a Pinterest board, just say so. If you don’t have any other vendors yet, that’s fine too. I just need to make sure all questions are answered before choosing winners! Please don’t disqualify yourself for missing part of it!

    Nikki Macon - Nikki Macon
    December 8th 2017
    Noah’s event venue (Hoover AL)

My wedding vision is very elegant. All inside, with a nightlife feel, romantic, with vintage touches. The girls will be in long wine/cranberry colored dresses, the boys in navy tuxes with wine/cranberry colored bow ties. The bouquets will be white roses, eucalyptus filler, wine/cranberry daliahs, and pops of blush pink with blush pink daises. The reception will be warm romantic lighting with gold table cloths and flowers similar to the bouquets. Although I am pretty set on what envision, I am pretty easy to please lol. I’m a pretty laid back girl. Definitely go with the flow. But I’m a planner. I’ve already booked the venue, the DJ, my cater (southern girl catering), I’m going to do the flowers myself with my bridesmaids from a floral wholesaler, and I’ve already got my dress lol! I’ve only been engaged since New Years lol! I figured I could just get all the hard stuff out of the way, and just enjoy myself. I don’t want any stress and since I’m the last person in my family to get married, and the last of 2 out of my whole friends group, I want people to have a great time, and remember it. Oh yeah, I should probably add, I am a really life “27 Dresses” girl lol. Even my family jokes about it. So we are all excited it’s finally my turn! Lol!

I would love for you to my photographer for a few reasons.
    1. Kristen Pender Haggard has told me all about you! She even sent me the pic you have her and her husband on this post! Her and I were friends in high school and she said you did an amazing job. I saw some of the pictures from her wedding and they are amazing

    2. You work is so rich with color. You really capture the mood, and the beauty around your clients.

    3. You’re very versatile. You can do vintage, you can do modern, you can do inside, you can do outside, you can do day, and you can do night. You really know what you’re doing and you can capture the couple and their special day at any time in any way, without losing YOU in your photography. I hope I get the chance to work with you. Your work is fantastic!ReplyCancel

Vicki Koslin - An elegant, simple wedding with black and grays as the colors at The Club in Birmingham, Al on December 9, 2017 with about 250 people. My friends used you and I loved it!!!! (We don’t do social media except Facebook and don’t have a site yet!)ReplyCancel

Haley Deese - My name is Haley Deese. We are having our wedding on October 14th, 2017 at Rosewood in Pinson, AL. I get butterflies every time I envision it. Here is my pinterest board if you want to take a peek! ;) October is my favorite month. It brings with it all of my favorite feelings and colors. I can already feel the warm breeze on that evening while gazing at my handsome man in a classic black & white tux, and my lovely ladies in fluid peach gowns cascading to their toes. I couldn’t decide between cranberry and peach so I discovered how beautiful they are together. I envision luscious white and peach romantic roses intertwined with hints of mauve, blush and cranberry. It’s almost a vintage feel. I want to keep it classic and timeless. Our venue does catering, cakes, & décor. We are working on hiring a florist and DJ this week. I love raw, natural beauty. That’s what I love most about your photography. It would be a dream to have you as our wedding photographer because I think you do the loveliest job at capturing magical moments and making them look as spectacular as they really were. We are paying for the wedding ourselves, and winning this kind of deal would just mean more than words can say to us. What a blessing that would be!ReplyCancel

Danielle Fagan - Hey Jennifer! My name is Danielle Fagan. I will be marrying my wonderful fiance John Jansen September 9, 2017 at the B & A Warehouse in Birmingham, AL. Since it was looking like for at least a decade that this day would never come I don’t have much on pinterest but I’d love for you to check it out (and it is incentive to add more) Originally, John and I had envisioned a small private ceremony with just our family present and then a HUGE party for the reception. But, as we started making the guest list for the reception we realized that there were too many people we loved that we couldn’t imagine not seeing our vows. That laid the look and feel for what we wanted. The ceremony will take place in the same room as the reception with a cocktail hour in between. We want the ceremony to feel very intimate, we are not doing a large wedding party. My sister will be my maid of honor and his brother will be his best man. We both have a love for the beautiful blue hydrangeas that we have in our yard and will get married under an arbor filled with them. My greatgrandmother had what I called a “secret garden” and that’s what I want the room to feel like that day. The reception however, we want to be fun! The focus here is on the wonderful people in our lives that brought us to this day. My very talented childhood friend Chuck Holderfield of DiJital entertainment will be our DJ We haven’t confirmed any other vendors but B & A will be catering. I want to work with you because I have seen how you capture real moments of people experiencing real things. When I look at your photography I don’t see people who are posed nothing looks forced. I have always struggled with how I look in pictures and get really nervous when being photographed but you always make me feel beautiful. Everyone who has ever hired you has nothing but positive things to say. I feel like having you photograph this special day would make it feel complete. It would be an honor to win!ReplyCancel

Paige Grant - Hi Jennifer! My name is Paige Grant and my amazing fiancé and I are planning our wedding for next spring, March 10th, 2018 in Birmingham, AL. We are still trying to solidify our venue so that date may change but we should know by the first week of this March. I have always dreamed of having a glamorous reception at The Club and hope we are able to do so! I know I want a wedding that can best be described as traditional, elegant, and glamorous! I love florals, lighting, and designs and tend to be a bit over the top. I have not hired any other vendors but after attending the Believe Bridal show the other day, I now have some great contacts! I initially was drawn to your work via Facebook and have been following your work for sometime now. Once my fiancé and I got engaged I knew pretty quickly that you were one of my top choices to hire as a photographer! I feel as if this decision was solidified after getting the opportunity to meet you and talk to you at the bridal show! I felt as though we had an instant connection, would work well with each other, and that you understood what I have in mind for my wedding! I also LOVED your Amelia and have been stalking my Lula connection for something similar! Winning this giveaway would be such a wonderful start to this hectic wedding planning process and would allow me to check off such a huge and important item on the list! I look forward to the chance of getting to work with you!! Thanks so much for this opportunity!ReplyCancel
